The North-South Centre is very pleased to invite you to participate in the University on Youth and Development, organised by the North-South Centre, the Spanish Government (INJUVE) and other partners.
Within the University you are invited to take part in the Global Youth Work Training Course, organised under the framework of the Joint Management Agreement between the European Commission œ EuropeAid Co-operation Office and the NSC and implemented in co-operation with the International Coordination Meeting of Youth Organisations. This Training Course will be held from the 13to the 20of September in the CEULAJ, Mollina, Spain.

Visas and Travel

We urge you to start your visa arrangements, in case you need one to enter Spain. This same letter will be sent to the nearest diplomatic representation of Spain (Embassy or Consulate) to your residence in order to facilitate your visa process. The North-South Centre will do its best to provide you a prepaid ticket to Málaga. We will inform you of an itinerary for your travel and other information on these matters.

Venue
The meeting will take place in the Centro Eurolatinoamericano de Juventud (CEULAJ) in Mollina; village situated about 50 km north of Málaga. The address of CEULAJ is:

How to get there?

By air: The nearest airport from Mollina is Málaga (AGP). We shall arrange regular transport from the airport to the CEULAJ, in Mollina. Please look for a University representative at the airport. In order to assure that we shall meet you at the airport you should send us your travel details urgently.

By train: Take the train to Antequera-Santa Ana (if you are coming from Madrid) or to Bobadilla (if you are coming from other destinations). Antequera and Bobadilla are about 15 minutes drive from Mollina. We shall arrange transport from these stations to CEULAJ.
By car: Take the N-342 from Seville to Granada. Take the exit Mollina. In Mollina follow the signs to CEULAJ.

N.B.: The University staff will provide the transfer from Málaga Airport or the Train-Stations to CEULAJ. In order for us to arrange your transport from the airport and train-station to Mollina.

Board and lodging
Board and lodging in Mollina for the duration of the activity will be provided and covered by the Centro Eurolatinoamericano de Juventud, CEULAJ. For the duration of your journey and stay, you will be covered by an insurance policy with the insurers, AIG EUROPE insurance policy (number 2.004.761), which provides cover for persons up to their 76th birthday. The policy provides cover against risks associated with your visit, for example, cancellation of the journey, unexpected illness, repatriation expenses, accidents and the loss or theft of personal effects. The following help line AIG EUROPE Assistance 24 Hours can be called in case of need: + (32) 3 253 69 16.

Course Fee
As you know, a symbolic participation fee of 50 Euros for participants coming from European Union member countries and North America and 25 Euros for those coming from other countries will be charged to participants in cash at the course.

What should I bring?

A piece of your Culture
In order to participate in a joint activity of making a collective flag of all cultures and identities, we kindly ask you to bring with you a piece of fabric/cloth/tissue of your own country or region so that they can be sewn into a huge flag!
The CEULAJ has leisure and sport facilities, which you are free to use. So bring sport clothes, including swimming gear, if you want to enjoy CEULAJ‘s sport facilities and to take part in th activities of the University‘s Global Gym.
We encourage you to bring such things as music instruments with you. There will be the possibility to play music in several places in the CEULAJ namely in the frame of the Social Room where we will have the Global Café. So any music instrument, CD, food and drink from your own country will be greatly appreciated.
Bring also a recent newspaper and/or magazine from your country and a picture of your place (city, village) so we include it in the University‘s Global Press and Information Center. Do not forget to bring with you recent information about your organisation or group.

Special Requirements
We shall do everything to take into account any special requirements you might have mentioned in your application form. However, if you have to take medicine we advise you to bring a sufficient supply with you to Mollina. This will avoid the problem of trying to find the same medicine in Mollina.
Taking into account that Ramadan will take place during the activity, we would need to know what are your specific requirements in this regard, linked to special diet or any other needs you may have in relation to this.
